As of April 1, 2012 residents who wish to conduct a garage sale must obtain a City permit. There is no cost for the permits, which will be available from City Hall or from the City website, www.cor.net. Permits will have to be obtained by midnight on the day of the garage sale and are to be displayed on the premises for the duration of the sale.
The rules:
- No resident may conduct more that 3 garage sales in any 12-month period.
- There may be no more than 3 garage sales in any 12-month period at the same address.
- Garage sale cannot exceed 72 consecutive hours in duration.
- At least 4 business days shall elapse between 2 consecutive garage sales on a property.
- At apartment of condominium complexes, garage sales must be sponsored by the owner, management company or condominium association.
