The City of Richardson implemented Stage 3 Winter Water Restrictions Friday, November 1, 2013. The modification follows guidance by the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) which is facing critical shortages in its water supply due to below average rainfall, declining water levels of NTMWD reservoirs and the ongoing prohibition of pumping water from Lake Texoma due to a zebra mussel infestation.

These water restrictions limit all landscape and other outdoor water usage at each service address based on the last digit of the metered service physical street address as follows:

Last Digit of Address Allowed Landscape Water Days
0,2,4,6,8 – 1st and 3rd Saturday (any time of day; as needed)
1,3,5,7,9 – 1st and 3rd Sunday (any time of day; as needed)

Hourly time water use restrictions may be imposed if warranted by current peak usage and/or pumping conditions.
