If you drove down Clover Trail this October, you know exactly which house we're talking about. Jacob Patton and his wife have been building their Halloween display for more than ten years, adding to it season after season, and this year the fog-filled bubbles were an instant hit with the neighborhood kids.
The Pattons are longtime Berkner Park residents and self-described horror fanatics who spend the off-season at spooky conventions. When we stopped by, Jacob was still out in the yard putting pieces back together after a windy evening scattered the display. That tells you something about how much care goes into it.
The magic doesn't stop out front, either. Jacob has filled the backyard with native plants and wildflowers, and he's been rewarded with the return of pollinators, including plenty of butterflies and monarchs.
Our photos don't do it justice. If you missed it this year, mark your calendar and make the drive next October to see 1814 Clover Trail in all its gory glory.
Thank you, Jacob, for making this such a great place to live!
