We are very excited to inform you that Micah and Lesley Davenport – 1804 Baltimore Drive — are one of Richardson’s 2013 Community Revitalization Award winners.
The Richardson Community Revitalization Awards Program recognizes commercial and residential property owners who have enhanced their community by making significant exterior property improvements that, in turn, have a positive impact on the surrounding area.
Each November, award nominations submitted to the city are forward- ed to a five member Judging Committee; two City Council members, two City Plan Commissioners, and a member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. As a part of the award selection process, the committee evaluates property improvement efforts by assessing their impact on the community, sur- rounding area and the City as a whole. This assessment has three general elements:
- Has the effort improved the built environment?
- Has the effort contributed to the stability or enhancement of an existing neighborhood or district?
- Does the effort set a desirable precedent for surrounding property owners?
The photo shows their beautiful inlaid stone exterior, crank out windows, lock- ing mailbox, (all new) and meticulous landscaping, but these are just a few of the inspiring updates they’ve completed regarding the landscaping, exterior, interior, fencing, energy efficiency, safety and security of their home.
To our knowledge, the Davenport’s are the first in our neighborhood to win of one of the city’s Community Revitalization Awards. The Davenport’s beautifully updated property is certainly most deserving to be an award win- ner.
Congratulations Micah and Lesley!
