National Night Out (NNO) is Tuesday, October 2. NNO is annual event coordinated by the Richardson Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit held on the first Tuesday in October. NNO is a community campaign designed to: (1) heighten crime prevention awareness; (2) generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs; (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organize and watching.
NNO block party registration is now open. Officers will be out visiting registered parties and collecting can food donations for the their “Can Do” project that helps the Network of Community Ministries food pantry.
