For the third consecutive year, the Beautification Committee is participating in the annual citywide Trash Bash event.\u00a0 The Beautification Committee\u2019s theme is \u201cLet\u2019s All Work Together to Keep Berkner Park Beautiful\u201d.\u00a0 Trash Bash is in its 21<\/span>st<\/sup><\/span> year and was a great success last year.\u00a0 The event is held in conjunction with Keep Texas Beautiful and is a wonderful opportunity for all volunteers, and the BPNA, to work with the City of Richardson to help meet our mutual goal of improving the appearance of the Berkner Park neighborhood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volunteers will meet at the pavilion in Berkner Park at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 18<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>.\u00a0 You will then receive trash collection bags, gloves and select the streets you want to service by picking up trash.\u00a0 When everyone has finished collecting trash we will then move the trash bags to the Civic Center for collection by the City.\u00a0 Following the event, all participants are invited to the Trash Bash \u201cAfter Party\u201d hosted by the City at City Hall.\u00a0 The party will feature an environmental fair, music, refreshments, door prizes, several exhibitors, and you will also receive a free roll of blue recycle bags.<\/span><\/p>\n
